John Anthony Cangelosi (born March 10 1963) is a American ex-professional baseball player. Cangelosi played Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Texas Rangers, New York Mets, Houston Astros, Florida Marlins and Colorado Rockies. Cangelosi is a native of Brooklyn, New York. The artist graduated at Miami Springs High School in Miami Springs, Florida.

Cangelosi struck .247 in his 85 games with his team the Rangers from 1992. Six bases were stolen from him after which he was caught five times.

Cangelosi stole 21 bases for the Astros in 1995, the most in his career since 1987 with the Pirates. He also stole 17 for the Astros in 1996.

On July 21, 1997, he became the first position player ever to pitch for the Florida Marlins. He was a member of the team that won the World Series in 1997.
